Congratulations to Marvin Muhammad!

I remember when Marvin first started working for us in 2002.

There were only six of us then, but we were all very optimistic and expecting big things for Capitol CREAG.

Marvin joined us to fill the role as Senior Accountant and helped us to keep our contracts all in a row.  He was in charge of:

  • Receivables
  • Payables
  • Audits
  • Dealing with the banks
  • And all the roles that don’t have much to do with your title, but that you still do when you work for a small company.

Since then the company has grown by leaps and bounds and Marvin has played an important part in that.

It’s while reflecting on those fond memories that Art, Todd, and I would like to give an official congratulations on behalf of the company.

Marvin has transitioned into a new position as Team Leader of NCR Financial Analysis Support Contracts.

This opportunity will see Marvin using his strengths in leadership as he leads the Capitol CREAG team working on the Financial Analysis Support contracts.  He will be responsible for:

  • Overall contract performance
  • Ensuring client satisfaction
  • Facilitating staff success and professional development
  • Collaborating with the team and the client to contribute to Capitol CREAG’s continued growth within the Region

I’m looking forward to watching Marvin continue to provide remarkable service to Capitol CREAG’s customers.

GSA Book of Answers

In March we launched a new initiative called the Capitol CREAG Book of Answers.

These books shared who our company is, what our complete line of services is, and who we have ready, willing, and able to fill positions at GSA.  The resumes in the book covered:

  • Construction
  • Contract Specialists
  • Finance
  • Real Estate
  • Support

The feedback we received from many of the GSA delivery teams and Directors regarding the Book of Answers (or “The Book” as it’s come to be known in Marketing and Sales) was so overwhelmingly positive that we decided to create a publication with fresh resumes on a regular basis. So far this marketing effort has helped us to grow within GSA and we have several more positions still in negotiations.

We encourage you to let us know when you hear that a Contracting Officer is looking for contractors to fill a position.  We also want to know if you have friends or acquaintances qualified for the above fields who may be interested in a new challenge at our company.  If so, send their resume to kendra.matthews@capitolcreag.com.

As a reminder, we have a $1,500 employee referral benefit in place whereby employees are encouraged to recommend their network of contacts to become part of Capitol CREAG. See your employee handbook for details.

Capitol CREAG “More Than Brokerage” Campaign

In the very near future we will be kicking off a “Capitol CREAG More Than Brokerage” campaign with GSA and other Federal Agencies. We would like you to meet Stew in the video below. See how we helped Stew manage his project overload with the same care as if he did the work himself. The video is posted at the website http://morethanbrokerage.com and this website will be mailed to Contracting Officers at GSA and other Government Agencies.

This video is only a small representation of the great job each and every one of you are doing as a member of Capitol CREAG. A special thanks to all of you who go the extra mile to make Capitol CREAG the contractor of choice for the Federal Government.

I hope you all have a great 4th of July weekend!
